Dr. N. K. Venkataramana is a renowned neurosurgeon well known in national and international circles. He has received micro neurological training from Nordtstud Krankenhause, Hannover, Germany. After a successful career as Asst. Professor in Neurosurgery at NIMHANS he started the Manipal Institute for Neurological Disorders in 1991 with complete Neurosurgical facility. He participated in several clinical research programmes and initiated neurosurgical teaching programmes. He is instrumental in establishing Advanced Neuroscience Institute at BGS Global Hospitals.
He has many academic distinctions to his credit and has 45 publications in reputed journals and chapters in various text books. He plays an active role in various Scientific Societies of the Country in Neurosurgery. He is the President of Indian Society for Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery. He has conducted several CME programmes, delivered invited lectures and orations at National and International levels.
