Education

Dr. Patolia has done his MBBS and MS from M.P.Shah Medical College, Jamnagar, India. He then did his diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (Coimbatore), Endoscopy (Mumbai) and was a pioneer in starting advanced laparoscopy surgeries in Saurastra, Gujarat. He also holds a diploma in Medico- Legal Systems (Symbiosis, Pune)

Having practised advanced laparoscopy and onco-colorectal surgeries for over a decade, his perpetual drive for up gradation of skill and exploring new avenues promoted him to take up the challenges of weight loss and metabolic surgeries. He trained under stalwarts in this field in Europe and US like Dr Aniceto Baltasar (Spain), Dr Helmuth Billy (US).

Dr. Sanjay Patolia has a number of well received presentations and live surgery demonstration at various conferences. He actively participates in the training of surgeons in bariatric surgery. He is quite a sought after teacher especially for his practical tips and know how.
