Dr. Kumar did his MD (Anaesthesiology) from AIIMS, New Delhi. He also pursued Senior Residency in Anesthesia from AIIMS.
Prior to joining Jaypee Hospital, he worked as a teaching faculty at G. B. Pant hospital and associated Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and NIMS, Hyderabad.
Dr. Kumar has good exposure of most of the sub-specialties of Anaesthesia including cardiothoracic, neurosurgery and organ transplant surgery.
His special fields of interest are transplant anaesthesia, pediatric anaesthesia, airway interventions including fiberoptic bronchoscopy and ultrasound guided techniques.
Dr. Kumar has 22 national and international publications to his credit, has been an invited faculty for various conferences and workshops and is a life member of ISCCM, ISA and IACTA.
